We welcome new members to our volunteer crew. It's rewarding to spend a little time at the Museum...
Our members all appreciate Kittery. We enjoy learning its colorful history, collecting its artifacts, and telling its stories. As volunteers, we each help in some way, including:
|Front desk||=||greeters and docents during open hours|
|Members||=||be a member, get members-only benefits|
|Programs||=||organize cultural and educational events|
|Collections||=||curate documents and artifacts; data entry|
|Facilities||=||help to maintain our building and grounds|
|Technology||=||innovate Museum displays and applications|
Volunteers are mostly needed during our open season, which runs from April through November. We also offer community events and educational activities, year-round. In the winter, our crew is preparing for the next season.
Volunteering is a good way to make friends and enrich the community. Most of our jobs can be done in only a few hours a week. Scheduling is flexible... let's talk!

We seek to create greater awareness of the history of Kittery, its role in American history, and our cultural and maritime heritage. We welcome suggestions for events and exhibits that are consistent with our mission. Thanks for participating in the Museum!
